Çiğ köfte. This was one of my favorite Turkish dishes. It's a flat bread roll with a paste made from meat, tomatoes and spices, fresh lettuce, lemon juice, and Tursu.. Amazingly delicious!!
This was in the older part of Izmir, and old building with a typical wooden balcony..
Sirinçe is also famous of it's fruit wines. Mustafa Yilmaz sells some of the local specialities in a quaint little shop in Sirinçe. He was telling us that he is well known in the fruit wine circles and they call him "Einstein"..
